Thanks for asking. At this point all the body damage has been straightened out. Been primed, guide coated, and blocked out 3 times. Next is the new vinyl roof and windshield, then a final blocking and cleaning and finally get some color on it. I'm still a month away from "done" at least.

How about you Elkyholik87? How's your build going?

I put a link to my SmugMug Gallery in my sig. If anyone's interested there's 36 pics in the "Vandalism" gallery, and as of today there's 200 pics in the "Redone" gallery. I add pics at least once a week.

Elkyholik87 (Samir) has put his Elky in temporary Storage while he explores a few options. He has not given up, nor do I think he will. In our last discussion, (in the Chat Room) he stated he wants to do the build right, and has decided to do his homework and some research prior to continuing and possibly making some costly mistakes.
With his limited knowledge (THAT IS RAPIDLY EXPANDING) in what is involved with the resurrection of his El Camino, he has spoken like a Veteran.
And I think when he figures out just the route he decides to take with it, WE will all be surprised.
He has been concentrating on work, and Banking his funds, and I'm sure he will stop in and update in a day or two. I commend him, and know just how bad he wants to get humping on it's repair, and the restraint he is showing that will most likely save him some Big bucks and mistakes.
That's all the info I can offer at this time, and I'm sure he will, as I said, in a day or two, provide a future update.
Have one for Elkyholik87  cuz he's saveing his Money.

Thanks for the updates. I had just been wondering. I wasn't so worried about mgs72elky, just concerned that his beautiful cruck has already missed the show season this year when I saw it on the 2010 Calendar submissions. It's going to be another looooong winter!

As for the Elkyholik87, you answered all my concerns with your update - and I too commend him for his cautious advancement. Thanks, Coyote, for providing your valuable advice and mentoring this young man!...........Ken

:biggrin2: Thanks guys for thinking of me it put a big dumb smile on my face, lol.

Larry pretty much said it better then I can.

I have been TRYING to be a good boy and stack my chips which I have been doing.... But last weekend I splurged and went a little wild. I bought some nice shoes a Ron Artest shirt a nice dress shirt and hit all the bars in Pasadena I burned through 300 bucks half that was alcohol. If I cant look good in an elky I better look good and fresh when I go out. I'm after the ladys like never befor... Siriusly. I think I'm trying to prove to my self that I dont need a nice car or a pretty face to pull some dime pieces (even though they all say I'm pretty damn good lookin)... And boy my mojo has been flowing strong. I made a pass on the most beautiful girl I'm talking Kim kardashian beautiful this weekend and she was haveing every bit of my game can't wait to see her again. My confidence has been consistently sky high.

Any way The fix or repair daily truck is undergoing a third member swap aswell as othere repiars that has gone along with it. I should be rolling by next week. I have a buddy that works in the same building and has the same hours that also happens to live by me so I hitch a ride every day to and from work with him and his tricked out fo*d Focus svt. I tease him and call it the slow-cus, lol.

I have been siriusly contemplating going to a trade school or going to a community collage, I have found some good programs that I just might attend. I have been wieghing this option against geting a second job which I really want... Thinks to him self, "Elky or new car or old ford truck... Second job or school" I can't decide yet.

Great to hear of the luck with the ladies - that WILL put some confidence in your step (but it WILL take some of the jingle out of your pocket!) - and that you're seriously considering further education! As you're considering your future, do what's best for YOU. Sometimes that is education. Education is something that can never be taken from you, unlike material goods. You can lose everything in your possession, but with a good education, there's always another good starting place. It sure sounds like you've got a handle on it.......Best of Luck...........Ken

Wow, this is the first of I've heard of this event, and you have my condolences. There's not much I can do in the way of support, but I'm sure you've got things handled. I can't say I'd have the ability to stay rational like you did though. Being a combat hardened vet I'd have given them punks a run for their money.

Thanks for the support Johnny. Yeah, it's been a tough one, no doubt. The full story is in a thread titled "Season's Over" in the Region 2 forum. Thanks again....
