Im trying to figure out how to remove the dash from 64 elco so i can repaint it before i throw a new Gauge cluster in it. Does any one have any insight on how to remove it? any and all help is appreciated.

I think the dash is welded in. I can't address the elky directly but I have done several 64/65 GTO's (A body). The resto shop leaves them in and paints them while the windshield is out.

Welcome to the site. The dash shell is welded in and therefore integral with the body. Removal of the windshield is a good tip to provide complete access for paint prep and applying an even coat of paint. Glad to see another So-Cal member aboard.

The previous two posts are correct, it's simply part of the Body, when you get right down to it.:dontknow:
