That's the first time I've seen a two piece. I know Gaylord used to make a one-piece and you could get it through the el camino store.

They look like they are home made, specially the black one.

I have a 2 piece and it was installed by choo choo, the previous owner drove to Tenn. and had it installed. Thats a mighty long drive from So. Fl. There is a date of 1985 written on the inner wall.

Do you think Choo-Choo made your cover?
Could you send me pics as I belive they are home made.
Thanks BK

Mines a 2 piece but the front part is only about 8" long. (don't even go there:poke:)
It was made in California. I can get the company name and post pics if needed. I think it's a pretty good one, fiberglass with lock, 2 minute removal

Hey guys
Now keep in mind my ELKO is a 68 and it came from Calif. with the cover on it. I have not reshearched the company. Also it got painted with rattle cans (I wanted to see how it would look) I plan on using Rhino liner on it.

mine is the same as Done Deal Donny, right down to the hinge. So I guess Choo Choo was not the maker only the installer.
Thanks Guy's,
In my searching I found this http://www.studionow.com/watch/protect-o-top/?m=61cf5896918fd
web site advertising your tops. "Notice the 64 elky in the pics". The company can be found on google but they do not have a web site, kinda wierd these day's. I'll keep looking.

The only thing I don't see is 2 pieces, but you don't get to see the one on the El Camino. And oh yea I don't think I'd stand in the middle of mine either!!!!
Good job finding that.

Donny, they are pretty strong. Mine was locked and pulled off by a hurricane, when the eye came through I went out and brought it back, laid it down put a 5 gallon bucket of water on top, 4 bags of mulch, its all I could find. After the 'cane I found it on the other side of my yard, on the otherside of the pool. I guess they make a good sail. The fiberglass for the supports were cracked and a small split near the top. I reglassed it, straightened the hinge and it works almost as good as new.
