hi im new to the site. i just bought my 59 elcamino that i have been looking for, for a long time. cant wait to get started. i have an option to purchase a 348 3x2, but am undecided any and all opinions are welcome to help me decide. thanks

Welcome, Chevy Hi did a 348 build several issues back. Made a potent little mill, you may want to check that out if you missed it.

if i had a '59 i wouldn't be able to resist a triple duece 348 - post pics as you build the car and welcome - there are a million really smart and helpful people here. do like i do read, read, read then ask questions - they'll help

Had the 348 with the 3 deuces in a 58 Impala, talk about a torque Machine !
Back in the day, they were always referred to as a Truck Motor or Stump Puller.
Found out, you got the traction, they'll pull Stumps all day long and cry out for more!
Great find, post photos, and keep um coming during the build !!
