: Exorism Needed
Birdman 11-01-2009, 05:54 PM My wife has decided that since I have my El C up and going; she wants her first car back. I really feel that she suddenly become posessed by demons. She wants her, I shutter to think of it, a Ford Falcon. Please help. Am at wits end. Is there an open season on stupidity? I have no where to turn. Except Autotrader.
:dontknow:
look into the falcon/ranchero thing for her.when you cant find one ,find a early e/c for her.
Rix85 11-01-2009, 07:24 PM Divorce??
dabayelco 11-01-2009, 09:30 PM get her an el camino of the same year that her falcon was. thats ur only option IMHO lol
CoyoteOn2 11-01-2009, 11:01 PM You just have to handle this the RIGHT WAY.:poke:
Stop at the Hallmark store in your neighborhood,
Go in, and look for that very special SIMPATHY card.
Fill it out explaining just how sorry you are that SHE
had to settle for such a low class, lower priced, hand me
down, second rate form of transportation for her FIRST
car. That because of the LOVE you have for her, and all
that she does for you, you will see to it that she will NEVER
have to go through that experience again. That in the future
she will be driving that very special car that will take all
those bad memories away. And don't forget to sign it
with your everlasting Love.
That my Brother, will cure this Mental Malfunction that she
seems to be having under these stressful times she appears
to be going through.
BUT WARNING -- Be prepared to not get any sleep the day
you give her the Card. There's something about them Cards
and what they do to Women, Never could understand that.

steelybill 11-01-2009, 11:09 PM Well, we don't all have to have an El Camino. You may have to get her a Falcoooon to keep the peace!
My wife was trying to win a Lincoln in a contest, and said we could use it for a beater!!:nanawrench:
Birdman 11-02-2009, 04:54 AM CoyoteOn2-You may be right. A lot cheaper than flowers. I was hoping there was people out there that understood my distress. Anyone have a little blue pill? LOL This must be our own private War Room.

rushgator 11-02-2009, 09:57 AM Huh...I guess I'm lucky. My wife just wanted a '72 Chevelle. God, I love that woman.:nanawrench:
dills88 11-02-2009, 01:58 PM A falcon not that bad it could be a vw bug.
Maintenceman 11-02-2009, 02:05 PM well find a falcon thats not running an drop a sbc in it, that way you can always snicker that you got to put the heart of a chevy in a lesser body and bring some value/dependability to it :bat_angel::bat_angel:
glhman222 11-02-2009, 05:04 PM hey old vw's are great

I'm sorry Glen !!
PS. Have a GREAT time South, you Snow Bird you.
texasjim 11-03-2009, 04:23 PM I'd give up my pristine 87 elky if someone could perform an exorcism at the white house:bat_angel:
FIRST ELKY 4 ME 11-03-2009, 04:48 PM Look in Hemmings, find the most expensive ones to show her, then point out how impractical buying one would be. Then a nice dinner, expensive wine and she will let you spend money on your Elky because it will be less than the price of a Falcon.
Of course, that won't work.
Just find her a car and as suggested, power it with a Chevy motor.
Maintenceman 11-04-2009, 10:27 AM another agrees with me. lets make it happen. :texas:
saw a rx-7 with a blown 350 for sale down here and it sounded nice, plus that badass scoop popping thru the hood just made the car seem like it could now be driveable without a disguise :secret:
Bryan59EC 11-04-2009, 08:01 PM Dunno if many of you guys realize this, but GM, Fomoco, & Mopar can all live in the same driveway together, and the earth will not start spinning off axis.
I have all 3 operating that park in the drive nightly (when I'm not travelling----when out, the Dodge lives at the Airport)
I say get her the Falcon-----if nothing else, makes her content, and gives you something to talk about that is just not normal (like ANYONE wanting an early Falcon). Another plus is that they are not too pricey and you don't see them all that often. Early Fairlane might be a good second choice as well.
A tiny bit bigger, but still Falcony feeling.
My wife loves her 96 Windstar so much, she would bring it in the house and pet it all night if she could. She actually makes me buy new Ford wheelcovers when one falls off (I got her some 16" alloy wheels last week, so the hubcap buying should stop)
