Hello!

I have a '79 with power lock, power windows. On the driver side, the window got stuck all the way down. So i took it apart and put it back together. I first thought it was the motor but the motor was ok. So i thought the switch and the switch was ok but still replace it as it was old. What happens in fact is that when i pull the window down, some wires get drafted down with the window and then disconnect the wire from the motor. Also the rear view mirror's cables get the same treat. The guy i bought it from did the electricity like a jackass and i don't know now what is the proper way to pass all the wires and rear view mirror, although everything is working...
So, anyone got a shema or something for me about how to properly run the wire through the door?

Cheers,

Uli

Someone may have a photo of the way their wires are run / secured in the Door, sorry but I don't.
I would just run them so they clear All MOVING PARTS, and secure them, then run them through the Grommet at the leading edge of your Door and Frame into the kick panel area. Maybe the previous
owner is using a shortened harness and you may need to add some length to them.

You could always see how they are run on the Passenger Side and follow suit if all else fails.
Just a suggestion, :dontknow:
