: '77 Malibu Classic wagon & '77 El Camino Classic
Camino LS6 11-16-2009, 11:53 AM You guys have followed the story of the wagon from when I dragged it home to its current nearly finished state. A year and a half of effort got the restoration done to a functional, on the road, condition. Most questions can be answered by reading through the project thread here: http://elcaminocentral.com/showthread.php?t=19533 . It starts with The El camino that I am also offering for sale.
I need to get $4,500 for the wagon as she sits (running, driving, mostly restored mechanically, legally on the road). Any extra/replaced/NOS parts I have for it go with.
The Camino is a resto-ready Nevada car minus engine and trans - I have found zero rust on this car! It comes with a nearly complete (no engine/trans) '77 Camino parts car w/ title, and thousands in new and NOS parts I've been collecting for the last few years.
I'll post a more detailed list of what goes with the Camino when I get the chance to take inventory ( I bought shelf after shelf of new stuff).
The price will also be $4,500
Please understand that I'm not going to be negotiating on the prices, it is what it is.
I really doubt that an equal car to either one of these can be found at this price.
I am putting all of my vehicles up for sale, and will keep whatever doesn't sell the fastest.
The others are:
'88 Chevy 4x4 Crew cab project w/ new engine and tons of new parts
'79 Jaguar XJ6L rust free project with tons of new parts
'92 Full-size Blazer running/driving/inspected w/ rare 5spd. manual
2005 Silverado 2500 HD Duramax/Allison: factory-ordered for me new
Lots more info on all - just PM me.
Camino LS6 11-20-2009, 09:26 AM Sorry for the delay guys, I'll try to get more info up later today.
Camino LS6 11-20-2009, 11:41 AM OK.
Typing from memory here, this is a partial list of the parts that go with the Camino and the parts car:
NOS inner and outer window seals (top of door panels at glass - what would be called "fuzzies" if they were fuzzy.
NOS Tailgate top trim
NOS bed top rails (the long ones)
NOS wheelwell trim ( I think I have 3 of 4)
NOS battery tray
NOS A/C vents for dash (I have at least 3)
NOS "El Camino" Fender trim
NOS hood (with some damage - saveable)
New GM body mounts ( all that were still available)
Good used rear bumper fillers
Good (used?) stainless trim for back of hood
Excellent used smuggler's box w/ mounting ring
Good used "El Camino" tailgate emblem
Perfect used tailgate hinge covers
COMPLETE front and rear performance suspension rebuild kit including front and rear springs, control arm bushings, upgraded sway bars, all of the susal front end parts plus center link and idler arm. Cost over $1,000.00
New aftermarket heater core
New NAPA rear drums (painted)
Set of OK Corvette Rallys go with car (center caps included)
Complete stock exhaust system (used) including manifolds
engine brackets, hardware and accessories I didn't need for the wagon (fan, Alternator, etc.)
I'm sure I've forgotten some stuff, but I'll post it later along with some pics of just how rust-free this car is.
Camino LS6 11-20-2009, 12:23 PM Here are some pics from the day I got it (fresh off the transport truck). It is covered in road grime, but you should be able to see the lack of any rust. This car still has factory color paint visible on the bottom of the floorboards and has never been undercoated. I have other pics from when I had the winsheild replaced showing zero rust anywhere under/ around it.

PeterWabbit 11-22-2009, 03:26 PM What are the specs on the sway bars? I would be interested in both the front and the back:texas:
ozzman3620 11-23-2009, 05:16 PM you wouldnt happen to have any pictures of the malibu would you?
Camino LS6 11-30-2009, 01:01 PM Peter Wabbit: I'm not parting things out.
ozman3620: The link in my first post has pics of the Malibu all the way through the project, skip to the last pages to see how it looks today.
Camino LS6 12-04-2009, 10:25 AM Well, the Blazer and Silverado are gone and a local guy is interested in the wagon. I'd much rather get the crew cab and Jaguar sold, but at least things are in motion.
Maybe I'll get lucky and get to keep the wagon and/or El Camino.
