If you add your email address to your member's profile next time you log on to elcaminocentral, it will enable our Regional Director to contact you about getting together for a meet or a cruise event.

Same advice goes to all members: If you want to meet with other Elky owners and get together to attend events, swap parts, and make new friends with similar interests, then add your city and state to your location field in your "Member's Profile." Same thing goes with your email address. That way we can leave the forum postings for technical topics and other items, not for finding out who other members are. That's why Robert More built the Profile and included the location field in our data base. How about giving this a try, everyone??

There are Elkys here and a 5th Gen is not too hard to find but a nice one could be expensive $6000 plus. Raggedy ones can be had for a couple of grand.

No thanks on buying your 86. I see how much you have tied up in it already, any pics?
I was just on Oahu and Hawaii until last week. Saw quite a few nice rides on Oahu and went to a great classic/hot rod/muscle cars show in Kona, while on Hawaii 2 sundays ago.

I'm on my second '83 Elky. The first one rusted away after I had to ship it to the Big Island and back on Young Bro's when I was reassigned over there in the Army.

Two years ago I saw Robin's and knew I had to have another. Bought this one from a guy in Phoenix, Az. and had it shipped over.

The body's in very good shape and I just finished a fairly major upgrade of the engine. The reheated 350, 700r4 and 3.42 gears make it a really fun ride, but not nearly as anti-social as my original '83, which was a real hot rod.

It's not my daily driver, so I only drive it when the the weather's good. I see a lot of 5th generation Elkys over here. A shame that most of them are rusting away just like my old one....

There are a few 5th Generation El Caminos on the island of Kauai.

And on the 1st Saturday of each month the GIRA hosts drag races in Kekaha, where there are at least 3 El Caminos that race! 8)

I just started racing my 1987 El Camino, with a V-6. Not quite as fast as the other El Caminos with their 350 and 383 engines, but it is a place to start. :P
