Hello from Indianapolis,Indiana.

Let me give you a little background on my 1st El Camino.

I just happened to find this one while i was on my way to work this past Monday. I stopped and looked at it quickly, it had a lot of surface rust, but didn't take a closer look (i had to continue to work).

A couple hours later, i decided to go back to it. A guy came out of the house, and told me $500 and it's mine. Needless to say. I bought it.

To my surprise, it's mainly surface rust. except for the rust through holes in front of the rear wheels on both sides. I'm going to a friend that's a body man. to have it inspected for more possible problems.

Another surprise: in the glovebox. The original owners manual, The warranty book, EPA Fuel Economy Rating window sticker. And other things that i will tell in a new post. But the find of the day was the Build sheet. in fact 2 copies of it!!! It was all in the warranty book. I read on here already that some were looking for RPO codes for an '82. But was told none were done until after '84. Well this build sheet has them. I will scan all i have...and even start a thread on the RPO codes I have to help other '82 owners.

BTW: I have an 1982 El Camino SS Royal Knight. Blue on Blue with the Blue Royal Knight Decals.

Great buy and a nice find on the documents. we'll be looking for those scans.

No on either one. Have the AM6 60-40 FRT SEA. I know alot of people want to keep things original. But I'm leaning on doing a resto/mod. Changing the interior to a Bucket/Console setup. But that also means getting a different steering column. Would love to upgrade the power train. I have the GU1 2.41 Ratio Axel. And the 140 hp 305 4bbl. But don't know. So feedback would be nice.

That's all there is to it. Sounds like allot, but really isn't.
Now when you click on PASTE, THAT CODE ABOVE that is green will be what you see,
UNTILL YOU either Submit Reply or Preview Post, Then that CODE will change to the
PHOTO. LIKE THIS ↓

it does a wonderful job of explaining. and when i click on that yellow button that looks like a mountain. I use the copied link from photobucket that is next to the words that says "Direct Link" you get a photo on your post that looks like this:
