How far away do you live from Savannah, GA???

I am about 55 miles west of Savannah

That would put you between Claxton and Collins. I'm about 95 miles NW of Atlanta.

I have 78 SS ... but its in project mode still...
i've pulled the eng and am getting my orig 350 rebuilt.. Most of this gen El Caminos are 305s
it wasn't running when i got it.
found out it had: spun 2 bearings, burned crank, broke 2 rods, cracked cylinder wall, cracked heads, cracked intake..
guess the eng had a rough life. :^(

After lots of time talking to machine shop...
i'm getting rebuild with mild cam/hp improvements.. hp pistons/heads..
suppose to pick up this week.
They seem nice/knowledgeable -Joe @ www.CMEngines.com (http://www.CMEngines.com) just over the line in SC.. off I-20
anyone have work done by them ?

i would like to get eng back in.. then see what's next ....
- i pulled trans and gas tank.. cleaned them up.
- need brakes/rotors and master cylinder are next.
its been sitting up 5yrs for me.. and about 5yrs before that.

I'm about 12 miles or so from Stillmore. Out in the country just outside of Oak Park.

Jacksonville, Florida.....so not far at all. I come to Savannah fairly frequently; nice place to just relax and see history.

Sweet! We should definitely hangout sometime. I've never met another member in person haha. What color is your El Camino? I've seen a few riding around bulloch county lately, a yellow one, a blue one, and another 5th gen that sounds pretty mean.
