I wasn't sure where to post this, so I guess I'll break in the new category.
I live in Oregon where you can't pump your own gas, and my 76 is a real pain with the spring loaded gas nozzles...these are the kind that you have to either hold or wedge in or they pop out on you. Whenever I try to use one (I usually fill up in washington across the border, it's cheaper) it keeps clicking off and I have to keep pulling the trigger. Once in a great while it will do this with the regular gas nozzles, but usually not. I end up going to stations with the spring type because they are cheaper, coincidentally. Anyway, its a real hassle in Oregon because the gas pumpers wont pump for me because they think the tank is full when the nozzle keeps clicking off, and since I don't speak spanish I can't really tell them.
Does this happen to anyone else? Do I need to replace my filler neck or what?
