I have a 75 El Camino with a 96LT1 motor and trans. I am in the process of restoring it and I would like to put some 73-74 SS emblems on the front fenders. I need to know if anyone knows the exact location for the emblems or where I can see a picture with the mesurements for the location. Thanks

Since you specifically said the 1973/74 SS badging, I am guessing you do not want the stripe decal package (there are some excellent snaps of that on 1976 and 1977 SS's in the member car gallery).

I stuck a photo of a factory dealer poster of a 1973 Chevelle SS here:

Here is a site with a pic of a somewhat bedraggled 1973 SS El Camino (I know it SAYS 1974, but it's got a 1973 nose):

And the top pic here is a 1973 Chevelle SS:

Here's a 1973 Chevelle SS wagon (in urgent need of TLC):

And there's a nice 1976 El Camino Laguna with SS badging in the member's car's gallery section. Don't know if this was factory for the Laguna's (or if it was a factory Laguna El Camino - there were apparently a few), but it looks exactly like the effect you sound like you are shooting for:

Hope these help. Unfortunately, I don't have (or know where there is) anything with precise measurements. lcamino427 (proud owner of the last one) might have some useful detail...
