Just wanted to drop in and say hello to everybody. I live in Marietta, Georgia, just north of Atlanta. I recently just picked up this 64 El Camino 454 out of Covington, Ga. I have a few small plans for it not to many. I also have a 56 Chevy pickup step side that I am most proud of. I have had it for 6 years now, and have done a frame off with it. I may be asking some questions here, because I dont know much about these cars.

Thanks,
Dusty

Welcome Dusty. A few small plans eh? HAHAHAHA!!! Where have I heard that before? That El Camino will grab you by the throat and demand attention. And I believe you will give in. We're here to help you give your 64 that attention.:poke:

Thanks everybody for the welcome, It is telling me that I can not post attachments. I guess when I figure that out I will post some.

Just alittle bit about my 56 Chevy. I bought it 6 years ago here in Georgia from a guy that had his wife driving it everyday. She hit the brakes and went right into a cow pasture and never drove it again. I got it for $500, and sold everything but the frame, tires, and hood. I replaced every nut and bolt on the truck, and now it has been feature as the lokar truck in there ads in custom classic truck and classic truck magazines. I was contacted by Custom Classic Trucks to do a feature on it. Well they came out and took about 400 pictures of it and now is going to be featured in there February issue. I am very proud of the truck and enjoy it as much as I can.

The El Camino was just a luck of the draw. I had a 26ft motorhome that I bought my father to live in when he moved here to Atlanta, but the RV park changed some rules, so I got him an apartment. I needed to sell the motor home and a lady came across with this El Camino to trade me. I went and looked at it and i was a done deal. It has a 454 with a turbo 400 tranny. I will repaint it one color and clean the engine bay up and we will see if I keep it or sell it. I may keep it for a while as my wife really likes it. I didn't think she would like it, but she does.

You can go to this site and see the toys that my father and I have and still do have.
