Birdman

Had to make a trip to big city of Tyler yesterday. Knew that the weather was going to be nice and decided to take the EC out for some exercise. So I knocked off the dust and headed South. A strange thing happened not once but twice. I had two other drivers pull up beside me, honk, point to my EC and give me a thumbs up sign. One of the other drivers was driving a Prius that still had dealer paper tags. Wonder what he was thinking? So I sat up a little straighter, cranked up the classic rock a little louder and temperarily forgot my issues. Have a lot of time and money sunk into my Crunk but isn't that what it is all about?

Happy Holidays to all from the Birdman and his nest from Mt Vernon. A Dandy (Don Meredith) town.

That is super man! Great stuff and love those moments. Makes all your hard work worth it. With me once I did my engine swap more people started to notice my El Camino. They look at kit and go wow. I saw a few people get that big eye look when I drive by people. Puts a smile on your Face

i had a guy in a corolla stare me down the other day. he rolled up his window when i pulled up next to him and he just stared with a disgusted look. i smiled at him, spit in my dip cup, then did a burnout when the light turned green. thats where its at for me, guess some people dont like loud exhaust....................................... :poke::texas:

I had a '10 Camaro following me on Saturday. I think I know which color blue I'm going to repaint mine now!

Thats exactly what it's all about man! I love hearing things like this.

I've said it plenty of times on this forum... It's like a drug. My six 8 use to put me on cloud nine, has a mean sounding 327. My 78 doesent get me as high but still makes me happy. Since I've converted to Halogen light's people have been staring like crazy.

Today a group of high schoolers in a late 90's mustange gt were gawking at my elky. We were side by side for 3 or 4 lights , he was testing me. I wanted to romp on him so bad but the 78 has nothing for power. The 68 would of embarrassed them.

I live in Long Beach and you get used to the younger crowd admiring my elco, but I have to say the most memorable moment was maybe like a month ago when I was driving in downtown Long Beach and I was at a red light when a group of old ladies were crossing the street in front of me and when they reached sidewalk one of the ladies got the attention of the other ladies she was walking with and pointed to my car and said " Now that's a classic car!" and they all nodded. It brought a grin to my face it was kind of funny to hear that coming from them especially since my car is pretty loud, I would have thought it would have been a nuisance to them.
