These guys http://www.gaugeguys.com/index.htm make an adapter from a electronic trans signal to a cable for a mechanical speedo. It's kind of pricey, a electronic speedo is way less.

Check out: http://www.jagsthatrun.com

These guys have been doing TPI conversions for quite a while. They have a section on Borg-Warner T56 6-Speed Speedometer Cable Modifications. (https://shell7.tdl.com/~jags/Pages/Parts_T56_TailHousing.html) It's not cheap and you have to send them your tailhousing.

They also sell a manual to help you with your conversion. Why re-invent the wheel?

You can also get an electronic Speedometer.

These guys sell a 69 Chevelle Pod or separate instrumentation.

You can also get Autometer electronic gages and probably others. They're easier to calibrate.
