I removed the dash pad and painted it with some black vinyl paint came out little too shinny. It cost about $8.00. $4.00 each for the cleaner and paint. Alot cheaper than buying a new dash pad.

Maybe you can put some satin-clear over the black, to dull the shine a bit (?)
