My buddy from 35 years ago built one of these (69 Elky 4X4) only his had a 6 cylinder 55 chevy pickup truck undercarriage. Man was that thing a noisy, hard to drive beast. The K5 setup might make it a little easier to drive but not much.

Lots of states (all?) have bumper height laws. Wonder if either of these crucks would be leagal to drive on the street.

I never liked the look of a 4x4 El Camino. Takes away from what an El Camino is really known for. If I was going to buy a 4x4 truck I would go buy a 4x4 truck and not an 4x4 El Camino.
