I just tried to install chrome wheel well trim i bought from OPGI and the holes are way too far in. I have a choice of trimming them off and putting new holes in them (much more difficult and probably will miss) or putting new holes in the car. Im just saying they may be a better supplier out there.

I also purchased aftermarket crap...all 4 for about $100...they were aluminum.
Returned them.
Found NOS (new old stock) a guy had on e-bay, still in original wrapping paper. They are Stainless Steel, and they match the original holes perfect. I love em, but the price was dear...$100 each!!!!!!!
Some times you do get what you pay for.
If you want the best, get NOS pieces.

RE: CHROME WHEEL WELL TRIM: I know that this post was a while back, but I wanted to comment on the wheel well molding. At that time, there was only one supplier in the entire industry for those, so of course there was only a single choice, and it was not the best fit. OPGI recognized the problem, and since that time has reproduced all new sets of tools and dies on the 70-72 El Camino (as well as Chevelle) wheel well moldings. These new ones are identical to GM originals in fit and finish. hopefully by now your restoration is looking good!
