Attend a local meeting in Denham Springs, LA last night. A small gathering of ELKY NUTS just like the rest of us. About 15 people in all. They have been meeting for about 2 to 3 years. Looking for new members. Meet every second Tuesday at the Shoney's in Denham Springs. They are looking to attend cruise night's, car show's both local an with a little travel. Invited all there to come to the website for a visit and join our group. Most all of them didn't know we exisited. Be on the look out for more from my area.

I just responded to one of your other emails before I read this. I've really wanted to get to this meeting. I would hate to show up in my Honda though. My Elky should be running by the next meeting, hopefully. :?

Moe - I didn't see your message in time, but it was at 7pm at the Shoney's in Denham Springs. They meet every second Tuesday of the month. I went to it for the first time on Tuesday. There weren't as many people there as usual...according to some of the people there.

There are some very nice rides there! These guys know there stuff when it comes to El Camino's...much like this website. It lasted about an hour or so. It's not a formal meeting, just a get-together type of atmosphere...eat, socialize and drool over Elky's. I enjoyed it and would suggest anyone in the area to come to one.

They mentioned they meet/drive together to local and out-of-state events. They plan on going one of the Saturdays to the Cruizin the Coast in Biloxi (sometime in October I think).

AND...THEY HAVE PARTS TO TRADE OR SELL. So, if there's something you might need for your Elky, they might just have it. One guy, Bill, has some windows, for 5th gens that go with the power windows setup, he's trying to give away.
