P/S steering pump is leaking, got the seal kit today, just wondering if any body has any tips, advice, mostly concerning pulling the pully. im thinkin this is not gonna be a fun job.

You will deffinently need a puller. Most parts stores will let you rent one. When mine was leaking I didn't what it mess with it so I got a reman. one to replace the whole thing.

i got the puller, just dont know how to use it :oops: i'll get one of the techs to show me.... i poured some BG P/S sealer in it, sitll leaked last night but i will check again today. im just wondering how hard of a job this will be (how long it will take) and i dont really want to buy a new one if i can fix the one i have.... just the cheap side of me. thanks alot for the help!

When mine was leaking I didn't what it mess with it so I got a reman. one to replace the whole thing. Typically they don't come with a reservoir...well mine didn't. The one I did last year I found a friend with all the proper tools...took me all of ten minutes. Sorry, doesn't help you. The one before that I had the local NAPA machine shop guys pull the pulley for me...

i have a 72 camaro engine in mine and the PS pump does have the reservoir in it. BTW I've gone through 3 PS pumps and they aren't fun but get a pulley puller and a FRIEND to HELP
