79 Caballero

I'll finally have money again to work on the Caballero soon. I finally was submitted for hire at the job I've been trying to get since I got out of the navy. Starting March 22nd theyre sending me to a 5 week school to learn aviation sheetmetald work. Not sure of the pay yet but Im pretty sure it will be better than I get as a Cashier at Lowes. Ive got a good feeling that this summer will be real nice to the cruck.

Aviation sheet metal is a great profession !
When I got out of the Nav I went through the same procedure of trying to find a decent job. I wound up learning to build offshore race boats, of all things.

One thing can lead to another. I ended up leaving the boat industry and building race engines for the Unser family.
You might be on the start of an exciting career path.

Congrats on leaving Lowe's !!

Nice going on the new adventure!! I've been an A&P/IA for 40+ years, and sheet metal work has been most of it. Rebuilding wrecks, doing restorations, etc The metal work can be very satisfying.
If you learn to weld while you are doing that, like TIG, gas welding etc, your car hobby will be even more fun.:nanawrench:

Good luck with that:smileyb:
