Very nice. What kind of prep did you do before painting the chrome and stainless steel trim?

I work for A Big Building Restoration Co. Iam A Stone Mason
I took them to work and we do A lot of Ice Blasting to take off layers
of old paint with out damaging the brick. It's just like sand blasting
but we use ice. The Ice put just enough roughness to the the Metal to make the paint stick. It's works awesome on rust...Best of all there is very little
clean up becouse the water well evaporate and all you have to clean up is
the Material your blasting

Saturday was a beautiful sunny day in metro Detroit. I too had the car out for a little bit. Cann't wait until the weather warms up for good to get back out cruising.

Well, I've never heard of ice blasting and I thought I was familiar with all of the blasting media and techniques. When I was the service director at a large new car dealership we had a company water blast a 6 story steel parking structure to remove rust and old paint. They used very high water pressure and if applied to a car the stream would have destroyed the car. Ice blasting must be an expensive process.

That you will. Mount Clemens also has several good shows through out the summer if you make it down to this part of town. The Gratiot Cruise in Eastpointe is also a cruise worth coming to. Parking fees for Gratiot are quite reasonable. Paid $35 last year for a real good reserved spot. Let me know in advance if you might be interested in the Gratiot Cruise and I will start looking for a couple of spots for us.

It's not as much as you think..The ones we use at work are about the size of
A Big dump truck and it makes its own ice.But this one well work just fine on cars and parts. Check out there Application Link Ice Blasting (http://www.rsg-technologies.com/)

Thanks for the info. I thought ice blasting was spitting out crushed ice from a hose! I have a large blast cabinet; I was thinking of emptying the glass bead from the hopper and having my son crack some ice cubes and filling up the hopper. Eh...probably wouldn't work too good.

I had a 85 MC SS that was burgandy. I knew your color looked deeper.
