Aloha,

My tripometer won't reset, I thing the reset knob's plastic parts have just worn down too much from age and can't engage the tripometer gears. Is there a speedo shop on the island that can do this repair work? Its not a big issue of mine (odometer works fine), but something to add to my list of repairs.

I initially thought my trip meter was faulty. I just applied a little more pressure and Bam..... working trip meter.

Measure once, cut twice...

Cut it big, shove it in, paint to match...

All ya need is bailin' wire -n- Doug tape...

If it's stuck just push harder...

Yeah i tried everything and it just doesn't work. You can spin the knob until your hand goes red from the pressure, no dice.

Hey, Nate -
I got the same problem with my '86 Elky, so if you come up with a fix - be sure to post it here!
I'm in Mililani.

Yeah, I haven't figured anything out. Probably gonna have to send the speedo to a shop off island since I can't find one here.
