on the way to work this morning i got into a confrontation with a chain link fence. the rain slicked road helped out alot, but i blame the coke i was opening that fizzed out on my seat. and way i jumped the curb and drove along side the fence. tore the whole fence down. dented my mirror and broke the glass, tore up almost all the RH side moldings, the wheel opening molding is just totally mutilated, broke my antenna bezel, and bent the antenna, broke off my rear qtr. "El Camino", and some superficial scratches that will just buff out. but if you saw that fence you would be amazed that my car wasnt messed up bad. does any one know where i can get those rear wheel opening moldings (both sides) for a reasonable price? i think the body man here is gonna get the dent out of my mirror, and the door molding, "El Camino" plate, and antenna bezel, are already on thier way. i cant wait until monday is over!

Well not this year anyway. Next year the insurance will go up and you'll pay for the fence then X2. :D

Sorry to hear it was your Elky you wrecked. Heart braking actually. Can't you drive better than that?!?!?! JK :D

o no, no insurance involved. no police. i have connections who work for the city, as it was a city fence. but mind you this is all "on the down low" as for me dirving better, i jinxed my self last night, i was thinkin i have never gotten into a wreck, and ive done real good, and how my will last out of my wreckless teenage years and all that crap. then first thing this moring.... but im still blaming the coke. think i will sue coca cola b/c it was shakin up! but really this is turning out to not be sso bad after all. i was wondering also my header panel has accumulated quite a few scratches, and i was thinking of just pulling it off, and painting it. sand it and primer it first of course, but do you think i could pull off just spray painting it? seeing as how it is not too big. i will ask in the body forum too.

ok now you have to be very clear on this before you sue...what kind of coke was it...and was it in a can or bottle? It's these details that will help you out.

Motorbreath, Original Parts Group has a set of four wheel opening moldings for 78-87 Elkys for $99.95 less NECOA discount. I think Honest Charleys has them also. I hate it when those fences jump out in the street.

it was in a can, think that will be important? any way add a cracked windshield to the list. i was out hammerin on moldings for the last hour or so, got the messed up ones on till the new ones come in. i looked at those wheel opening moldings but they are not for the two-tones. :( i need both sides, and would like to get them as a set. GM has the right side i can get it for $35, but i still need the left (damaged in a previous confrontation) the moldings i can get but that windshield  well its gonna have to stay like it is for a few more years.
