will in my swap im using the stock 22 gal tank with the stock sending unit. now i know that on late model vehicles the fuel returns to the bottom of the tank so i modified my stock sending unit so what s the fuel return to the tank bottom so it doesnt irate the fuel. it like when you fill a bucket with water if you hold the water hose above the water if makes bubble if you hold the hose under the water if does not. here are some picture of what i did.

Justin,
I take it that you are running an external pump? I set my sending unit up the same way except I drilled an additional hole in the center ( mine had an indentation for and extra line) and ran a new fitting for the return line. I wanted to keep the vent to avoid excess vacuum in the tank which could cause starvation to the pump. How did you run your fuel line? Right now I'm using Russell twist lock hose with an fittings has been working well for more than 5 years. I have only replaced one pump in that time and that was only because it was nosier than I was willing to put up with.
I hope you are planning to come to Belton sure would like to get a close look at your fantastic looking project. Harald K. :texas:
