Took awhile to find the right intake manifold because no one knows parts without there little computers anymore. But finally got everything.

So this 4.3 was stock when i pulled it from an '86 C10.. Had a highrise intake manifold , and a 4barrel quadrajet on it. Engine is in amazing condition.

So , instead of spending 800 on a hood.. I went searching for a new manifold.

After around 3 weeks of searching. I found this.

This made me so happy , that i decided to buy a new carb , cause i wasnt diggin not having my passing gear.

And i preferred a Holley.

All is on but the carb , im having some help to drop it this weekend due to my recent surgery.

My question is this.

I loved the sound of the exhaust on that truck... I know that it had flowmaster 40's on it.. But i do not know if it had the cat or not.

What would sound better... No cat , or keeping the cat? The cats on my car are like damn cherrybomb looks pieces of **** and are routed under my damn seats..


Also , getting car painted again after done with everything.

Well if you have no cats is will sound louder since the air is not getting pushed through the cats.
