hey i have a 1983 el camino that serves as my daily driver. once i can afford to buy something else to drive i want to take my elky off the road and start redoing it. the quarters are pretty rusty due to having a snap on cover and midwest winters. i have a 79 elky i am parting out that has better quarters,they would just need lower patch panels. has anyone used quarters from a donor car? or would i be better off just fixing the surface rust and welding in new metal for the rust holes. i'll get some pics of my quarters in a day or two.

Trust me you will want new metal. Don't waste your time putting rusty quarters panels on. It will be much cheaper to get new metal then fix panel from another car.
