Hey All.

So, newly acquired elky is still running a little on the rough side.
It is a 1982 SS with 305.

I've not had too much time to work on it, but hopefully this week. It can be kinda sporadic, ie: run decent one day, and then crud the next.

I did some looking through previous owners receipts, and can not find any reference to plugs, wires, cap, and rotor being replaced.

So, I was thinking of just doing this anyway for good measure.....hoping that it might fix the issue.
Sound like a good idea? Anything else I should replace while I'm in there??

Thanks in advance.

I'd probably look at changing out the PCV valve and perhaps the fuel filter as well.

Hello!
Plugs
Cap
Rotor
Wires
Fuel Filter
Check/Replace Vacuum lines as needed or all is nice insurance policy
Air Filter
Breather Element (inside the air cleaner)
Check your wiring for bad repair spots/splices
Check your trans fluid and smell it, replace it and the filter if it is dark or smells burned
Check the fluid level in your differential, add or renew it
Other than all that........enjoy the vehicle...LOL

Maybe check the oil, and cooling fluid too?

Hey All.

Thanks for the input. Greatly appreciated.

I should have mentioned that car has been recently certified, and since then I've done an oil change, fluids check, air filter, fuel filter.

I'll start going though the rest of the list soon :)

Thanks again,

Check the vacuum hoses for cracks as well. They can really cause a problem by being cracked or plugged into the wrong port.
