My 67 had a dome light that intermittently worked, if the wires were jiggled it would come on and stay on. Now after pushing in the cigarette lighter it doesnt work at all. The fuse is good, the wires have been replaced, a new cigarette lighter housing is installed, new courtesy light harness is installed, but still no dome light. The outlet has 12 volts to it and the bulb has continuity, so I am at a loss as to why it wont work. Can anyone think of anything I am missing? Help

Maybe a ground to make the light come on ?
If I remember right, The Orange wire is hot all the time... When the white wire is grounded at the door switch it turn's the dome light on...

New symptoms, I have less than 12 volts to the cigarette lighter and my hazards aren't working. These are all on the same circuit. I will pick a new hazard switch tomorrow and see if that resolves things. As far as the door switches, I have new ones on order and will replace those asap. I have a feeling that my cigarette lighter is grounding somewhere under the dash, but I wont know until I tear the dash apart to get to it.

How's the radio work? I've seen more than one GM product from the 60's to 70's that put the dome light, radio and lighter on the same circuit.
