We are getting closer (1 piece at a time) on my son`s 1964 project...
lot`s of pieces have been replaced for cosmetic reasons (what can I say ...It`s a 15 year old`s first ride)...and if anybody can use the old parts they are welcome to them...

front bumper (straight/no dents/needs chrome or at least polishing)with marker lights
rear bumper (1 small fist sized dent) same finish
2 rocker panel mouldings (dull, straight, no dents)
all emblems, (v8...intact, dull, no paint on colored areas)
all letters intact (except for the L....what`s up with the L..even the new one broke)
2 eyebrow mouldings (1 has small ding, both dull)
2 bed rail mouldings (dings but servicable)
tailgate moulding (dings but servicable)
2 door , carpet scuff mouldings ( dull but straight)
dash panel (no air)
2 kick panel/vent assy. (no air)
glove compartment emblem
2 tail light lens
2 reverse light lens

I`ll be adding a/c kit ...so old heater box/blower will go in a few weeks

wiring harness will go as well...

this may help show what shape the stuff is in...

I don`t want anything for it (if you`re gonna use it)...p.m. me in Ellis county if you are.

Thanks El Camino Central for providing the technology for me to "lurk" and "learn"...

You've got a good lookin' young man there! I'm proud that he's interested in the preservation of the classics - a lot of young men his age are consumed with their video games, hip hop music, and other pursuits. And thanks to you for mentoring him and building what I'll bet will be a lifelong interest in the mechanics of automobile restoration and preservation. Way to go!.............Ken  (That's rootbeer for son!) :texas:

Ellis county is south of Dallas....specifically Midlothian....approx 30 miles down U.S. Hwy 67...
Bryan59ec if that`s not convenient I could ship em to you....We`re in the Heavy Duty Truck Parts business in Dallas, so we`re shipping out UPS daily, not a problem

Can you and/or your son make it down to Belton in May? The 1st Annual Texas Invitational is an event NOT to be missed by serious El Camino/Sprint affectionados! There are many who will not make it but later make claim to the prestige of attendance to what may be the largest gathering of El Camino/Sprints ever, aside from a GM plant. We'll certainly look forward to seeing you folks on May 14th............Ken  :texas:
