i thought all my bad luck was over after what happened monday, but last night i was diriving along and all of the sudden the car jerks to the right and pulls hard to the same side, i let off the gas, and then i am hit with the loud banging sound. my girlfriend is with me and she is freaked out, b/c there was like screaming coming from this field we were driving by(still dont know what that was all about) so i get out and my tire is gone. :D the little bits of rubber that remained could no longer be called a tire. so i get out my spare...flat :D . so i get someone to bring me out an air tank, fill up the spare go home, reach for the door handle to get out and it breaks off in my hand. the perfect ending to a perfect day.

yeah i hate when that happens. i've had the handle come off in my hand too. also one time i was just driving down the road and my passenger side window crank broke in two pieces for no reason at all. there wasnt anybody on the passenger seat either. that was weird...

Sorry to hear about your week. :( Your story with the tire and screaming in the field reminds me of Jeeper's Creepers 2.

well i just put on the new handle, and the new tire. so things are almost back to normal. you said you got one for $16? i got one of the HELP! brand ones down the street at the auto parts store and it was $20 at my cost (i get wholesale) havent even paid for it yet! and i got just a cheapy tire delivered from pep boys ($30 at cost plus 10%)... all i can say is when it rains, it pours.

That sort of brings to mind an article I read once about people who own Summer Drivers, not that yours is only a summer driver. But it was talking about tires on those type of cars and how they "Blow Out" even though they look almost new because of dry rot or just from being Old.
I know I have tires on at least one of my vehicles that has not seen a street for over 5 years. Still look fine and still hold air I would guess that they have less than 2000 miles on them, but are potentially dangerous.
I wouldn't have thought of that had you not mentioned your bad day. And don't get so physical with the truck when your mad at it for having a flat. :D I think that someplace like PepBoys would have a replacement handle.

And don't get so physical with the truck when your mad at it for having a flat. :D
