Can anybody recommend a non air rear shock for my 66.I am hating the ride.My bouncing and swinging rear end is outright dangerous.I carry the occasional heavy load

TIA

You should change the springs. Moog makes Cargo Coil springs that are variable rate. The coils start out soft for ride and as they compress they stiffen up to carry a load. That way your airshocks don't carry the full burden. If you want to get rid of the airshocks Monroe makes a gas charged one for Chevelles that would fit.
