So, I was on my way trailering in the bad girl for her alignment and exhaust appointments, and lo and behold, I get passed by a green El Camino, about an '80 or so I say, and as he pulls back in front of me on our divided 4 lane, gives me a wave in the back window - how cool is that?! Kinda like Harley riders, used to be, waving and all that (I used to ride a Harley). Thing about Elco's though, there are no look-alikes really - we are unique. If you have one you understand...

Thanks for the wave, brother elco driver! Nice ride you got there, and some nice tires and wheels on your ride, liked'um. Some yellow thing in the back, looked kinda like that gizmo in the DeLorean 'back to the future' movie, where they stuff in the banana peels and take off....

I've seen a few el caminos around and ussualy give them a wave. the one that stands out the most was an amazing teal 72 I passed (going different directions) in ct. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.:driving:

I passed one before, but most of the time I never seen any driving while I am in my El Camino

i always see 5th gens driving but they never pass me, usually im the one passing lol. jeeps do the wave thing too by the way

I get waved at all the time. The one finger wave, so I just smile and return the favor.
Of course I only see their one finger in my mirror!!!!:nanawrench:

Yup! I had just picked up the Elko and i was waiting at the light that goes to the tag office parking lot, and lo and behold a 5th gen Elko pulls up right next to me.

Im more surprised at the amount of people without an El Camino that react to her. People have gone nuts screaming El Camino at me in the streets. I pulled into the BiLo couple days ago and pulling out was a real clean Orange 5th gen gave me props and I returned the :You_Rock:

There are a few elkys in the town where I live , we all know each other so we nod or wave if we see each other. The acknowledgement i liked the best was when some kid 6-8 years old said nice el camino. I was impressed he even knew what it was .

There's so few classics around here, everyone in any kind of classic waves at each other. WRX owners, all peformance model Subies too, do also.
