I'm thinking I'd like to drive the El Camino around tomorrow morning, (Saturday May 1st) since it's now out of the trans shop.
Would anyone here like to join the wife and I at The Original Pancake House in Encinitas for a great breakfast and get together (say, 9:30 a.m.), then a short cruise in our El Caminos out to the Point Loma light house?

I would be up for that but Im already going to El Segundo. The people who publish Car Craft, Hot Rod Magazine, and a few others are having a get together fund raiser for fire fighters. 1100am to 6 pm. Next Time.

After a GREAT breakfast, we drove down the coast and out to the light house on Point Loma.
Stopped in here at Fort Rosecrans cemetery. Two of my grandparents are buried nearby.

"She" ran well (for a shake down run). I've started another "gripe sheet" though. LOL.

The drive to El Segundo was a blast, Just driving the Mistress gives me a thrill. The show / fund raiser was ok. Not many cars and fewer Caminos. Just mine and a 70 SS with a big block and tubed. There were also 2 Rancharo's there one was pertty good looking the other not so much. I did not stay for the whole thing, came hone @ 2pm with a 2 1/2 hour drive home.
