I put my dash back together on my 80 El Camino after stripping it out including the A/C box and wiring. It's all back in but I am unsure of one thing. The buzzer with the two relays attached to it, I am not sure where it goes? Anyone have any clue on this where it bolts to? Looks like 2 screws hold it on under the dash somewhere but I cannot find where at.

I also have a 80 Caballero but cannot help you. Perhaps if you where able to show us a picture of just what you are talking about you might get someone here that can help you. I had most of my dash out last year but can't pin-point just what you are talking about. Sorry, Rango in Virginia

Sounds like the unit that goes in the area above the headlight switch.

It goes in the trash next to the beer cans , that where mine is!!!!!

I like the last answer. What are the two larger looking relays for though? I think there is a grey one and a blue one or something next to the black speaker/buzzer.

Sounds like the convenience center. If it's like my '85, it mounts to the back of the dash pad, to the right of the light switch, and in the lower portion of the pad ( left of the AC outlet under the steering column) .

Thanks a lot guys, tonight I will go back out and check it out to see if I can figure out exactly where it goes. I think you guys are correct about near the wiper/light switch. My memory seems to slightly be coming back to me. :yell:

Hmm, after looking at the last link, mine doesn't quite look like that picture. Mine is on a block with the black speaker looking deal and two larger relays and the whole thing is one unit with 2 bolt/screw holes in it to screw it to something.
Oh well, either way I will look in that general location and see what I find. I sure hope I do not have to pull the dash to put it back on.:???:
