MrCryptic 05-08-2010, 08:21 PM duct tape. :texas::beer:
you might could use two rolls though, dont think you could get away with one.... well maybe if it's the XXL roll.
toms84ss 05-08-2010, 09:05 PM Waiting for the rest of the story.:dontknow:
74 chick 05-08-2010, 09:19 PM I got mad, stabed the throttle and keep it there. When the tires finally stuck, it spit out the driveshift out in one big bang. It made a big mess out of the under side of my truck.
Consuela83'ss 05-08-2010, 09:23 PM i bet that made a hell of a thud when it went
woody31 05-09-2010, 01:46 AM Im proud of ya!!!! How much motor you goto in that thing?????:You_Rock:
HASBEEN 05-09-2010, 05:54 AM OOOOOPS!...
Blew a Fuse...:dontknow:
JJLT1 05-09-2010, 06:29 AM i think u killt it..
id have that one stuffed,,,put it on the wall above the fireplace...:texas:
You can use some drive shaft glue, you can find some at walmart.
John B 05-09-2010, 07:02 AM that one looks like a wall hangar to me.....try the wreckin yard for a replacement. How is the trans tail shaft housing and the diff yoke?
fortyselcam 05-09-2010, 08:44 AM OOPS;:bat_angel:
theelcaminofactory 05-09-2010, 09:23 AM Ball peen hammer and some JB Weld...duct tape..whoever heard of such a thing...everyone knows duct tape would never work...the spinning of the driveshaft in counterrotational direction would cause it to unroll...besides it's for taping broken ducks...not broken driveshafts. The driveshaft glue that Uli mentions available at WalMart is MADE IN CHINA and consequently can only be used on Chinese made driveshafts...Your driveshaft doesn't have MADE IN CHINA anywhere does it? You'll need to remove all the rust and look to see if has that stamp saying MADE IN CHINA anywhere...I bet you'll find a MADE IN MEXICO stamp...you'll need the Mexican driveshaft glue.
Marv D 05-09-2010, 09:59 AM I bet now your smugglers box will hold 23 fewer mexicans than the normal 74 crossing the border ;)
DONE DEAL DONNY 05-09-2010, 10:36 AM I thought they fell off the driveshaft tree?
Ain't that where 3 on the tree comes from?:dontknow:
Donny
74 chick 05-09-2010, 10:44 AM It shock the apts. when it went off. When it went,it left the yoke in the trans. and the clips on the rear end. I guess a 462 cid will do that. Does that drive shaft glue come in clolors like duck tape. I did find a driveshaft already. Being stock, I don't give it long in my hands.:nanawrench: I thing going to have too buy one. :let_it_all_out:I hate that!
Heres some eye candy:

theelcaminofactory 05-09-2010, 11:22 AM I don't give it long in my hands. Well...see, now there's your problem...your suppose install it in your Elky...are you always in the habit of holding onto your shaft with your hands? Oh wait your a girl...I better rephrase this!
samjudi 05-09-2010, 11:41 AM Duct tape will fix anything, just ask McGyver. You might want to install a titanium center pin the full length when you put it back in. Hope you are not behind me when you try it out again.
Sam
georgiamadman 05-09-2010, 12:52 PM What a bunch of amatures on here as anyone with a degree in redneck engineering will tell you JB weld, driveshaft glue or ducttape is useless unless you have a coathanger to use as a stressed memberin the repair. come on guys get it together!!!!
novelle 05-09-2010, 02:08 PM You might want to invest in a driveshaft safety loop if you don't already have one. It won't keep you from breaking driveshafts but it will help to contain it in the event of failure. It's cheap insurance for around 25 bucks.
74 chick 05-09-2010, 06:32 PM It in the works. I'm not going to the track with out one. Although, the exhaust system do a good job of keeping the front off the ground.
