Hi guys I'm on the verge of installing the Th400 back in the 69 and i was wondering what Trans Fluid is recomended for High performance perposes.

The best would be dexron atf 6... IMO. That th400 is almost indestructible. I put 4 qt's of type-F ford fluid in mine, it shifts a bit more firm. If your going to race it and keep the RPM's up I would suggest a oil cooler. The tranny over heating is what destroys them
