What are you running for rims ??? I like the Centerline Galaxy. Once I get a El Camino, it'll get these rims.Image Station pic (http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid108/p20a9a20d95bda8fe7f7e789757705005/f945d48a.jpg)

I'm still trying to decide between these two:
Budnik Anvil 5 (http://www.budnik.com/roadwheeldetail.asp?scid=53&pid=674&pg=1)
American Racing Hopster (http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/details.asp?wheelid=95&name=Hopster&style=550&desc=2-piece%20alloy,%20polished&section=V#)
Maybe one day soon I'll make up my mind.

I have the classic 15's Americans, also looking at the same Hopsters for a upgrade....maybe.

PS...dennis68 glad you found us! Nice to have another member in my area!

I'm running a set of S-10 rims now with Goodyear Eagle II's. After the paint is done I have a new set of Crager super spokes and Goodrich T/A radials to install.

i don't think you guys want to see the wheels i have on mine. 15 inch aluminum turbines on the front and 15" plain steelies on the back until i find some turbines for the back.

those are what i want to put on my 83. i think they look good on elcaminos. i have chrome unique directionals on it right now but those are starting to rust and i have been wanting to put chevy wheels on it and do all chevy but have like SS parts on it. that way people who dont know enough to tell the difference will think it is custom when it is just chevy parts bolted on.

American Racing Torq thrust II"s 17x8 front 17x9.50 rear. Pain in the rear to keep clean, still like the way they look on any el camino http://www.americanracing.com/images/wheels/big/b505.jpg

I agree with Jims 78, i realy like the tork thrust IIs and they still give the elky the old muscle car look and get lots of attention even from older people. 8)

This is a topic I've been doing a lot of research on. It all boils down to personal preferance. I like the Boyd Coddington Smoothie II's. They have a nice classic look yet maintain a fresh, new look. Check them out...

I'm not sure what tires I'll get, but it's taken me this long to narrow down the rim selection. I also like the SLX35 from Billet Specialties. What can I say...I like the five spoke look.

I run Centerline Telestar 15x8's all the way around.

Loved em from the moment Centerline released em in 1995. Wanted em on my first elky, but couldn't afford them on a high school budget. Bought em for my WHite 69 in 1999- Yanked em off when i sold it so i could keep running them on my Red 70!

If i had to pick another rim though... I would go with a set of Polished aluminum Halibrandts... A guy in my car club has a set on his 68 elky and they just look bad ass.. Kinda like old Slot mags, but with a little definition around the slots. http://www.elcaminocentral.com/modules/My_eGallery/gallery/elkys/elkys3rd/Mvc-025s.jpg
I think Bilitspecialties makes one that looks similar to the halibrandt

Polished aluminum is a bitch to keep up- but wow does it look great when its polished! :D

I kind of wanted to try out those Edelbrock 409 17" rims, but i guess they have been discontinued. Oh well. Kinda liked those. Looked like the 68 GT500 rims- The photo they had on their site had them on a chevelle and they looked way
