I just bought a 1979 El Camino and its got the factory tach, fuel, temp, speedo, etc..
When the motor is cold, the temp guage sits a little above 100, and when the motor is warm, it sits at 220. I highly doubt that its really 220 degrees, as the car is running fine, doesnt seem hot, etc.. I think the guage is flaky.
This along with a few other guage problems has prompted me to start searching for the best way to incorporate newer auto meter guages, etc into this car. Does anyone know of any after market guage cluster panels that I can easly install with standard size guages? Maybe something aluminum, etc?
Or if anyone knows the proper sizes of guages and any reccomendations/tips for the best installation, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
