I've got four bumpers, 2 front and 2 rears just taking up space in my basement, I'll check tomorrow on those clips unless you find them before. Just don't want to go down there at this hour since I would have to go outside. Rango, :smileyb:

I prefer no impact strips, they only fail at some point.

Both of mine are new so they should last in my life-time since I'm 65 now and have a car-port plus a car cover too. What happens, the rubber get old,?

what happened is im replacing the bent bumper on this 85 and bought a bumper from a 79 and it had the rubber impact strips installed in an attempt clean things up (mud and dirt) and not knowing what trouble I was getting into pryed them off and only 3 clips survived....rusted out) and the bolts with the flat head remained with the bumper(these bolts were impossible to remove so the bolts remained on the bumper but the clips just fell apart. So now have installed the new bumper and have to affix the impact strips ....somehow???????????????????????????/// thanks to all

You might check with your local Chevy dealer parts people. Sometimes I have been surprised at what they still stock!

If you are making this car for a dialy driver, that's probably the best bet, but if it might be for show then if you buy a new impact strip they will have all the hardware with them of course, I replaced both of mine since I also got new bumpers!!!! uust my 2 cent again:nanawrench::nanawrench:
