So I replaced my original throttle cable that was close to breaking, with a NOS cable. Even tho my original Was ready to break it was real smooth, the new one is kinda stiff at first, then becomes smooth. So I kinda gotta give it a good push before it becomes smooth. Can I just wd40 it and call it good? Anyone else got any ideas?

I would avoid WD40 for that. It attacks the plastic liner in the cable housing. Any motor oil or what gilby said will work OK.

dab, dude. never use any kind of oil on it. it collects dust and can cause the cable to stick. use either grafite or go see a local locksmith. they have teflon spay that they use in locks that and igition systems that helps free them up.:neutral2:

Yeah, there is also the stuff called "dri-slide" which is in a little can resembling a small oil can. It's graphite, but haven't had problems with oil.
