I got the real deal for my 80 Caballero which is probably a little easier to find. After getting some after market molding that did not fit too well I just had to search and finally got pointed in the right direction from a few guys here and found both a front and rear bumpers that came from other cars and had been rechromed. look great. I know this post is no help to you unless you decide to try and find the real deal during that year. thanks rango:yell:

Don't get me wrong, I would love a original GM bumper, just wondering if anyone has tried one these aftermarkets and how they fit...

Never tried one, but since it's a Goodmark product I assume it's a good fit. They are liscensed by GM to reproduce parts.

I bought one from http://www.kmclassicautoparts.com/ , located near Ottawa, and am more than pleased with the fit and finish.Don't know where it was manufactured, but I like that they splashed the underside with chrome thereby minimizing the unseen rust problem in these older cars. For our eastern canadian members, Keith is a heads up guy and provides quick and guaranteed service . He is more of a Mustang fan, but has on line catalogue with a ton of elky stuff listed.
