So Before i put the 4.3 into The Way. <--- stuck on translations these days lol.

Was a stock 3.8.. It had always produced this small springy sound. Only when in gear and speeding up. It was very subtle.

Now , i had to use the original Manifolds off of the 3.8 instead of using the ones off of the 4.3..." i would have preferd the ones off of the 4.3 , but the pipes didnt match up.. Should have just got the new pipes then." So now , with this 4.3.... Call me a little uneducated , im getting ALOT of springyness. I HATE IT.... Do you think its these manifolds. Please i can use all ideas on what this is.. Its not the car.. The cars perfect. Im willing to figure out some way to fix this. Money is tight though , Some expensive result will not get this done lol.

This is in Engine Topics due to me talking about the manifolds.. I found it sufficient.

Ohhh , and the Original 3.8 is well , it's on an engine stand waiting for it's day to be rebuilt , and to be re introduced to a vehicle. It's like Chuck Norris , It wait's.

My guess...it's either the exhaust manifold heat riser valve (passenger side...if you have one) would look similar to this--->http://images1.carpartsdiscount.com/auto/archive/pictures/127793/150/1/P/39C3290/exhaust_manifold_heat_riser_valve.jpg ...or it's the heat shield on your catalytic converter (if you have one) they vibrate if one of the spot welds is broke.

had a similar sound with my 85. turned out to be the cat. was going to replace it, but the cost was too high. Just removed it, punch out the baffles and replaced it. No more rattles. Good luck:nanawrench:
