Never mind, I'll offer it on ebay where it will bring more $$ Just for the hell of it, rangomr the price I quoted was well below anything like it on ebay and pics were offered by email.

Perhaps a little high in your price and no pictures of just what you are trying to sell, that's my 2 cent since I notice no one even posted back to you.

I was just going to let this drop but the longer I think about it the madder I get. rangomr who the hell made you an authority on prices? Furthermore what business is it of yours what I price my stuff at? I researched some of the bigger El Camino parts dealers on ebay before I made my decision. Separate pieces ranged from $300 to around $350 to buy separately. Complete units were $225-$250. I was offered $100 yesterday just for the speedo but I didn't want to separate the pieces. Would I have come down? Sure, believe it or not that is the American way, set a price then haggle, it happens every day. Since you stuck your unwelcome nose into something you had no interest in it ruined any chances of having a transaction here so it will go to ebay or another swap meet.
Moderators, I know I have broken some forum rules here but I believe I had adequate reason, take whatever measures you feel you need to, I really don't care.

He was just making an observation, and not getting in your business. Don't be so hostile, everyone here likes to help.

Thank you, I really was a little surprise and getting mad over nothing. This is what's wrong with this world today. Just making a friendly observation as you said and that's right. Anyway can't we all just get along, that's a old saying from someone and I'm not sure who now. O'well I'm 65 so nothing really surprises me today. Again THANKS RANGO

If that's a link to your own auction you need to remove it.

It's not mine, just one I used as a reference. I believe that seller is in California, I'm in Illinois.

I'm sure he just ment "Good For You", right Midnight87.

im sorry to say but as a teen i can tell you that though you have a point, he probably thought it was the term(please dont be offended because i direct this at nobody), GFUS. now i hate to see this much hostility on our forums and cant do didily squat about it.

now at midnight87, why be so hostile, some of us here are not super computer literate and might not have seen that. come on man we are people that try and help! just because it doesnt fit your idea of help doesnt mean that we are not trying. i know that i have tried in the past to not offend people (i said try, several of us know of one time that i unintentionally started a lot of offence) so cut us some slack man!

Why be so hostile? I'm normally anything but hostile but when some know it all steps in on a subject he has absolutely no interest in and ruins any chance of a sale, THEN I get po'd. I researched ebay for a couple days getting what info I could on what gauges were going for then I set my price considerably lower. The 4 gauge cluster goes for $50 on the average, I was already offered $100. for the 115 mph speedo, then the tach, circuit board, od gear indicator were all factored in. Separately the pieces I was offering totalled $300-$350. One seller had a complete unit like mine for $250. So, I figured mine was easily worth a START PRICE of $200. As I stated I would have accepted a lower price if someone had offered but then along came the know it all within hours of my posting the items for sale and ruined any chances of any one making me an offer. Sure, there were cheaper gauges available on ebay but they were NOT buy it now, Buy it now is what I based my price on, the auction items may have went for much less or even more than what I was asking but who knows. As far as posting pics, I opted for the easier way of sending anyone interested pics by email over posting all of them here. It was just easier for me that way. Then the know it all claims he was "trying to be friendly" that's what set me off, sticking his nose in on a subject he had no interest in. It was none of his business if I had asked $500. for the items. I still don't feel I was over priced but would not have been offended if an interested party would have posted and said they were interested but that I was asking too much and would I accept less I would have gladly negotiated with them. Maybe I was too high, (and I don't think I was) and maybe I should have posted pics here, but it still didn't give anyone the right to ruin a possible sale. Does that explain my attitude? If not, it doesn't matter to me any more because I am done with this thread.
