The A/C vents in my 72 are all broken and missing fins. I just spent $700 to get the A/C working. How do I replace the vents? Can I just pop them out or do I have to remove the dash?

No don't remove dash. I did mine by using a flat blade screwdriver gently on either side. It is just a plastic pin on either side. The plastic bends if gently handled and they will pop out.

Awesome. I guess that means that the new ones will just pop in too?

That how I did mind in my 80 Caballero, but you must go slow and gentle, I know and don't ask how I know. rango:smileyb::smileyb:

This will be my little weekend project. I live about 30 minutes from National Parts Depot in Ocala so everything I need for my Elky is within reach. One bolt at a time... (or vent). I'm also going to pick up one of those nifty things that turn your ashtray into a cup holder too.

It's rather cheesy. I bought one too and was disappointed with it. It's functional, but barely. Use your own judgement of course.
