a friend gave me the header from a 86 camaro i was thinking of cutting it down and mounting it up under the front of my camino as a spoiler . anyone ever try this i think it would look kool . and cost me less than buying the ss spoiler .
any thoughts ?

I believe they help with gas mileage. Part of a ground effects thing.

better milage is a bonus : )

There is a guy on Ebay that has them for most years. I got one for a 65 and it is a good quality item. I think it is Randy's spoilers. just search chevelle spoilers

No way that a spoiler helps with gas mileage. Youll have better luck farting out the window for extra thrust.

honestly if you want a spoiler ive seen the camino spoilers for decent prices on the bid sites and such. why go for an iffy look that may not turn out well? go for the natural one and itll be best.

spoilers creat downforce.. downforce equals drag.. drag equals poor gas milage..

when i got my el camino from my grandpa he had took a spoiler of a 69 camaro that was broken he fitted it to the roof of my 72 elky and fiberglassed it back togather it looked ok i took it off tho wasnt really my style
