Well guys as you know I have been the promoter of the El Camino meet in Carlisle PA. Well I will not be able to be there after all. I was trying to make the trip down there and had the worst luck of any. First my Car overheated stuck in traffic and that killed my serpentine belt. Got that fixed. Then I stuck in traffic again trying to get over to the shoulder after being in traffic for 30 mins again. Car overheated and almost died. Had to get it jumped by some nice people driving by. So I got the car running and found out my alternator was not working. So I was driving on just my alternator and finally almost at my hotel the car died. Took it to a local shop again and told me they can not find the part I need and wont have it till Monday. I also blew a AC compressor and almost killed my head gasket. So I tried my best to be there at the show, but just could not make it. Hope you all do us El Camino guys proud and win! Good luck and for sure will see you at the show Next year!!!

Sounds like s a road trip to me. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Man after all the hard work you did promoting it thats sad to hear. I sure hope you have better luck next year!!!!

Sorry to hear about your bad luck too but you just never know when something will go out. I'm really looking forward to coming up myself next year since I will be a little better money wise and my car should look much better by then I hope. Anyway hope you are able to get your car back on the road soon and you will be able to hit some local shows soon. God Bless You Michael (rango)

tough lucky bud, next year, it'll give you something to work on during the winter and the rest of the summer. It's a pleasure to own these cars but unfortunately it aint always cheap.

That sucks! You should've towed it to the show field. You would've gotten a hard luck trophy! Plus all the other elky owners would've got you going again!

Thanks everyone, but it needs parts that I do not think I could of been obtained at the show. So I would of been stuck anyway. Next time I will know to trailer it to the show instead of driving it.
