Just got myself a 73 el camino with a 350, I love it. Runs pretty strong, and the only real problems I've encountered so far are that the power steering pulley is out of alignment and the water pump is leaking, I believe. Coolant is dripping from those small holes in the bottom of the engine. I don't think the pump should be that difficult to replace on this engine? Remove the fan and the belts?
Well mainly I just wanted to say hey to everyone. Anyone else have a 73? Or in the los angeles area? I gotta get a picture up!

Welcome from So-Cal! I'm in Orange County, south of LA. Water pump is fairly easy to change. Good luck with your new ride. Any questions you might have will be answered by the knowledgeable members here. Enjoy the site!

Welcome to a great site and I'm sure there are many El Camino and Caballero in and around Southern Calif. I grew up in Calif. but I sure don't miss it. I don't miss all the earthquakes, especially a few that we had in the 60's and 70's. Anyway got a question, just ask and you will get the right answer here (I hope) Rango:smileyb::smileyb:
