this pisses me off, there is hardly anything for 4th gen caminos.i mean no billet grilles i can't even find a cowl hood.i mean they made everything up until 72,then they skipped 7 years and started making cool stuff for the 5th gen's,anyways, thought i'd get that off my chest.hahaha :?

I think a reason that there is not too much stuff for the 4th Gen is just a matter of economics. I see a lot of 5th Gen El Caminos but very very few 4th Gens. The first 3 Gens, esp. the 2nd and 3rd Gens have a special Muscle Car Collector status that makes them more collectible and valuable so there is a large aftermarket. I know that since 5th Gens are newer and more were made so that there would naturally be more left on the road today, but the difference in survivors is like 10 to 1. In general I see a lot of G-Body GMs on the road. I think that people keep them because they were well made and people just like them. I don't see nearly as many Ford and Mopars of the same age (except for Dodge Darts)--most of them have departed to the Great Wrecking Yard In the Sky.
Anyway that's my observation and opinion.

They made El Caminos 1973 - 1977??????????
Just kidding it must be frustrating. I have the more popular ones and it is still a chore to find some things i can imagine for a 4th generation!
I have a friend who has a 76 Laguna, Try and find parts for those!

If you can't find it,then make it or have it made. Check this one out:
1975 Elky with Laguna nose and cowl hood. (http://www.angelfire.com/fl/CaminoMan/images/75bbelky.jpg)
There's a couple of suppliers out there who will make a custom billet grille for you if you give them the dimensions. I've seen guys bond a cowl hood scoop onto thier car and then glass it smooth. There was even a guy on here who made a 5th gen. hood with '67 scoops in it.
If you think about it,you can still find 4th gens. in junkyards and there are places to find parts...it's just a bit more harder. How about the guys with the 1st gens. or guys with cars from the 30's or 40's. You can't go walking into a junkyard or parts store and get whatever you want for those. What do those guys do? Either spend years searching or make the part themselves.
So I guess my point is,if it's not made by anyone, you have to do it yourself. Hmmm I bet a 4th gen Elky with billet grille, cowl hood,Torque Thrust 2's,hand made rear roll pan,and custom made fiberglass front bumper cover would look sweet. Who here is gonna build it?

I love those laguna noses. I think they look better than the choo choo 5th gen noses.

Didint they use that recycled metal on those years copying the *** cars but did not make the metal thicker and the bodys rotted out? found in most junk yards with a half gallon of bondo in the bed in a rusted up can.

I like 4th Gens... Actually got my eye on a Black w/ Vinyl top 73 in my new neighborhood... May have to go up and knock on the door. Would make a great daily driver with some big meats on it.
:D
Yeah, the aftermarket is not reproducing a lot of stuff for 73-77, but i don't know that that is really a BAD thing... most of the repop stuff sucks and doesn't fit. With 73-77 there are tons of those things in junkyards, and with e-bay and all the junkyard networks now, it should be fairly easy to find decent used parts for them.
I have seen lots of 74-77's with custom grills- Usually the tubular jobs from late 70s-80s pickups. They can look pretty good when done right, but it is definitely a CUSTOM setup... not something you can pick up off the shelf.
