As promised, a report - We're safely home - this time without any truck-tractor/semi-trailer interference. A 15 hour first day of driving, 'cause they wouldn't allow trailer parking on the motel lot property - said to park on the street - and I canceled my reservation with a choice of appropriate verbiage. Finally found a room south of Little Rock at 10 pm, after leaving just south of Pittsburg, PA, at 7 am. The nice thing was that we had only 6 hours of driving left for today...............Ken

Glad to hear you made it back safely to the great STATE OF TEXAS. I'm sure it has changed a little since 1953-1954, I was the teacher's pet during the third grade in San Antonia and that's about all I remember. Also looked at your 52 photos and that's really a beautiful 68 El Camino. I hope to get my 80 looking something like that some day. Michael (rango):yell::yell:

Glad you made it home safe and sound! How'd you're dogs do on the trip? Did you let them do some of the driving? My wife still thinks I was doing some sort of rain dance.
Take care, waiting to see the pics you took! Steve
